Beautiful places to visit in himachal

 Himachal Pradesh is known for the beauty it provides through the various mountains and lakes that it has. There is a lot to do when you are planning to visit Himachal. Here is a list of places that you can visit when you are traveling to HImachal. 

1. Beas kund trek - This trek is of around 15 km and is not very difficult. It is of four days and takes you to the altitude of 12,700 ft. On this trek you can have a look at a lot of the famous peaks like the friendship peak. A well known fact is that Rishi vyas would take bath in these waters.The start point for the trek is Solang Nallah in Manali which is famous for adventure sports. From Solang valley you trek till Dhundi then Dhundi to Lohali and finally to Beas Kund. Even though it is an easy trek it is recommended that you prepare yourself before coming. For this trek you need to get a backpack and have these essentials in it- quick dry clothes, cap, sunglasses, first aid kit, jacket. A few other things you can carry are a trekking pole, woolen cap and raincoat. 
2. Kasauli - This is a hill station in Himachal at an elevation of about 1800 m. Kasauli is known for its religious significance. It is said that Lord Hanuman would rest here when he was searching for medicines. The view from the highest point at Kasauli is mind blowing and is also called the Monkey point. From this point you can look at the mountains full of snow and a river flowing below. There are also famous temples on this hill station like Krishna Bhavan Mandir and Shri Baba Balak Nath temple. The christ church is the main attraction at Kasauli which is a historic monument. There is a trail that starts from Kasauli known as the Gilbert trail which is quite well-known. If you want to visit cafes and relax with your friends then you should go to the mall road. 
3. Dharamshala - You might not know this but Dharamshala is divided in two parts, upper and lower Dharamshala. The lower part is for commercial purposes and it is filled with markets. The upper Dharamshala is  Mcleodganj which is very well known for the vibe it has. This upper part is full of monasteries and Tibetan culture. A lot of people come to visit the Dalai Lama and experience Tibetan culture. There is a street which is all things Tibetian, there is Tibetan art and craft, cafes that serve tbetiation dishes and a lot more. Another famous place in Dharamshala is St. John’s Church which is in the middle of a forest. If you love waterfalls then you can also go and enjoy the waterfall at Bhagsunag Falls. The Namgyal Monastery is the most famous monastery where all the tourists visit. Chamunda Devi Temple and Kunal Pathri Temple are the two temples in Dharamshala which are also very well-known. 
4. Manali - Without a doubt it is a place that you have heard of because it is known for its beautiful surroundings. Manali is known for various trekking spots as it is encircled by mountains and rivers. It usually snows in the months December to March. Rohtang pass has a lot of activities like skiing and paragliding. This place also offers a horse ride and zorbing. Rohtang pass is very famous and is filled with snow most of the time. There are a lot of places that you can visit in Manali like Jogini Waterfall, Sethan Valley and Bhrigu Lake. There are adventure activities that happen here, you can also learn how to ski. The treks that happen in and around Manali are - Bhrigu lake trek, Beas kund trek, Hampta pass trek and Pin parvati trek are few names. The best way to reach Manali is by taking a bus from Delhi. Joginder Nagar is the closest railway station but it is not advisable to come from there. If you are traveling by flight then the closest airport is Bhuntar which is 50 km away. There are a lot of other options as  Manali is well connected to other parts also. If you want to experience snowfall then you have to come in winter when the weather is extremely cold. In monsoon season you might find landslides which would put a hold on your trip, so avoid coming in the monsoon season.
